Apple lets you trade in your broken iPhone for Store Credit
Now you can trade in your broken iPhone for store credit:
You use to be able to trade in your old, broken iPhone with the reuse and recycle program for credit towards the new phone you are buying. Now not only are you able to trade in your broken iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 plus for store credit, Apple has also teamed up with Belkin and Tech21 among others to offer official screen protection installation, in-store, for your new phone. There was speculation that this was because they hoped it would encourage users to upgrade their iPhone rather than have a 3rd party repair them.
The trade in program covers damaged screens, cameras, or buttons. For information on if you’re eligible to recycle your iPhone, see Apple’s iPod recycling page. Want to recycle something else? Check out Apple’s reuse and recycle page.
