The Solus Project Preview
The Solus Project: Single Player Exploration Adventure with Survival Elements
The Solus Project caught my eye with its beautiful artwork and promise of an awesome adventure. You are cast into a universe where Earth has been destroyed and you are one of the last surviving humans. You are stranded on a foreign planet and have to make your way to survive.

After your pod crashes to the ground, you are alone. You have to survive. The first thing you’ll need to do is find shelter, food, water and fire to keep you warm. The only thing you can do is use your surrounding, by scavenging from the land or by dismantling your ship. The wildly outlandish scenery makes you feel very far from the calm security of home. The land itself is hostile, with obstacles and dangers scattered along the way.
It’s not just starvation, exposure and dehydration you have to worry about. The violent and volatile alien weather system has you constantly wary, watching the skies.
In your shelter, you have to think long and hard about how you’ll build a fire in the night. Evening sometimes means snowfall which can lead to hypothermia. But when you’re wrapped up by your fire, it’s beautiful to watch the snow from your cosy cavern. The rest never lasts. Eventually your fire will run out and you’ll have to go on an expedition to collect fuel.
The Solus Project has some of the most amazing scenes. It is a game for those seeking an adventure consisting of both cost and reward. Your hard work to keep alive is rewarded with some of the most beautiful images you can get in PC gaming. If you are interested in discovering every secret area, every little bit of the map, then this is the perfect game for you. I thoroughly enjoyed playing the early access – maybe you will too. The Solus Project Early Access is now available on Steam.
